Photo Syft privacy policy

Your photos and review choices

Photo Syft accesses the photos you permit so it can find images from a calendar day in earlier years, display them, and carry out keep or deletion choices. Photo Syft does not upload your photos or photo-library information to a Photo Syft server.

Photo identifiers, keep choices, deletion counts, available file-size totals, activity dates, and reminder preferences are stored locally. Photo Syft has no account system, advertising, subscriptions, tracking, or analytics in this version. Image thumbnails may be cached locally to display your library.

Permissions and reminders

You control photo access in iOS Settings and may allow only selected photos. Denying or withdrawing access limits the library features. The bundled demo can be used without granting access. Optional daily reminders are scheduled on your device after notification permission; no push-notification server is used.

Retention and deletion

Local progress remains in the app until its local data is removed. Deleting the app removes its ordinary local data. On iOS, savings totals and activity dates are also stored in the device Keychain and may remain after deletion so Photo Syft can restore your summary automatically after reinstalling. This backup contains no photos or photo identifiers, does not sync through iCloud, and does not transfer to another device. Reinstall recovery depends on iOS retaining the backup; it is not guaranteed. On Android, only a separate savings summary (deletion counts, measured file-size totals, and activity dates) is eligible for Android Auto Backup and device-to-device transfer. Android may store this summary with your device backup provider, such as Google, according to your device settings. Photos, photo identifiers, caches, reminders, and other app settings are excluded from this app backup. Restoration depends on an available backup and may not include your latest activity. Device backups are controlled by your operating system and backup settings. Photo Syft cannot remotely access or erase local records. Keep choices do not change Apple Photos favorites.

Deleting a photo through Photo Syft changes your system photo library. If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may synchronize that deletion to iCloud and other devices. Recently Deleted, recovery, cloud downloads, and backups are controlled by Apple, not Photo Syft.

Support

If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Please do not include private photos unless necessary. Support messages are handled by the publisher and its email provider. Support email is kept only as long as needed to answer you, then deleted.

Your choices and questions

You can change photo and notification permissions in iOS Settings, disable reminders inside Photo Syft, or remove the app. Contact dev@epsilonorigins.com with privacy questions or requests relating to support correspondence.

Changes

This policy will be updated if Photo Syft's data practices change. The effective date identifies the current policy.
